Troeds is a well known Swedish producer famous for their vintage design pieces. In 1934 Svea Och Hugo Troedsson (also known as Troeds) started the furniture factory Troeds. The focus of the company was mid century high-end pieces. The manufacturer produces designs that express elegance in their shape and beauty, combined with function, essential to Scandinavian modern design.
The Swedish company is especially well known for their collaboration with Nils Jonsson and Yngve Ekstrom. This was prior to starting his own factory Swedese. The sideboards designed by Nils Jonsson are very famous and are considered high-end mid century design.

Nils Jonsson made models like the Gigant (see main photo), Lugano and Trio. Hugo Troeds also made chairs and tables in addition to his famous side boards. Nils Jonsson created great contrast between the inside and the outside of the units with different types of wood and color.
Identifying a Troeds
These pieces are made with teak, rosewood, and oak en are branded on the inside in the cabinet on the very left side. Often times the brand will just have Troeds and Bjarnum, the site of manufacturing on it. Also, it may say the designer, model name and made in Sweden on it. The older models are vintage pieces and may also be branded with a sticker. The company is still manufacturing furniture today and produces pieces for both individuals and companies in several countries.
