Musterring was founded in 1938 by Josef Höner Musterring. The company settled in the German town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück. After the interruption of the Second World War, production was resumed. The first product is a wooden sewing box, but is quickly followed by high quality furniture at affordable prices. In the fifties they take their first steps on the Austrian market. The start of the expansion, which in the 1970s grew into Japan and Canada.
The great prize
In 1953 the German company received a big prize for the bedroom design M49. This because they sold more than 250,000 copies. On the occasion of the exhibition 'One must all live better' they were awarded the prize.
